Wellness Training 
Wellness Support Alliance partners with organizations to support their employees well-being and mental health through wellness and resilience training. We offer trauma-informed, evidence-based curriculum across a diverse range of specialized training for those in high-stress occupations.

For those looking to complete annual educational requirements we have courses which offer TCOLE credits. We also have courses which offer CEUs, required to obtain or renew licenses and certifications.

Wellness Certification Trainings



As part of our wellness sustainability initiative we offer the following training certifications to training managers and individuals seeking continued education.

Peer Facilitator Training
40-hour course and TCOLE certification

This intensive 40-hour course offers TCOLE credit hours and is designed to train peer facilitators within your organization. By educating team members on mental health support basics, this program enables peers to assist colleagues, enhances the informal support system by offering immediate support and fosters a mental health first culture.

  • Empower employees to provide mental health guidance and support for peers and enhance self-care strategies and lifestyles.

Heart Rate Variability Training
3-hour course and TCOLE certification

Train selected peer coaches whose roles include training and mentoring their peers on the use of HRV therapy for mental health wellness. HRV techniques help individuals manage psychological distress by learning to regulate their physiological responses. The process used measures data offering participants insights into their stress levels and progress.

Cooperative Incident Preparedness
40-hour course and certification
The Cooperative Incident Preparedness Training (CIPT) is a comprehensive certification course designed to integrate skills in Critical Incidents, De-Escalation, and Self-Care to enhance the performance in diverse critical incidents in the community. This certification includes regionally relevant and community contextual factors. It equips individuals with methods and knowledge to positively impact their interaction with the community, families, and individuals through a comprehensive set of skills. The training consists of seven, four-hour classes; eight hours of in-field experiential learning, and a four-hour session for assessment and fine-tuning of knowledge.



Behavioral Health Preparedness
32-hour course and certification
The Behavioral Health Preparedness Training (BHPT) is a certification course designed to train individuals to understand and implement knowledge of mental health disorders and their behavioral manifestations within a regionally relevant community context. It provides methods and knowledge to interact with individuals in the safest manner thereby reducing risk, injury, and harm. The training consists of five, four-hour classes, eight hours of in-field experiential learning, and a four-hour session for assessment and fine-tuning of knowledge.
